In spite of the incredibly hot weather – and the choice of probably the one venue that did not have air conditioning – members who attended the meeting in Coventry this afternoon were given an upbeat report on developments and achievements so far.
Most members will, by now, have received an email with some information about the new corporate structure and this was confirmed by Solicitor and Director of Legal Clarity, James Quinn who explained the processes that the CA had gone through. This was met with unanimous satisfaction. The CA is planning to hold a formal AGM in October/November and more details about this will be published shortly.
Andrew Brace updated members on the work of the CA and this was followed by Howard Ogden’s enthusiastic and challenging debate on saving the championship dog show. A lively and positive discussion took place ranging from the allocation of CCs through to student judges and judges’ mentoring. Watch this space for a more detailed update shortly.
CA member Clive Fray had earlier given an interesting presentation to the CA Steering Group regarding the HPB Lists and how to get off them (or not, as may be the case).
New members had agreed to come forward to work with the Board of the CA leading up to (and hopefully beyond) the AGM and details will be published once these new appointments have been finalised.
One thing that was absolutely clear from the meeting – the CA is needed and it is here to stay.
